About Kapu Creations
Kapu Creations, LLC is a handmade tiki decor business based in Kingston, Tennessee. All products are designed, crafted, and shipped by the owner, Steve Kryworuka.
Products and Orders
Made-to-Order Items
Most of our products are made-to-order. This means:
- Production begins after your order is placed
- Processing time is typically 1 to 3 weeks for wood lamps and about 2 weeks for 3D-printed items
- Custom orders may take longer depending on complexity
- Rush orders are not available
Product Descriptions
We strive to accurately represent our products through descriptions and photos. However, because each piece is handmade:
- Slight variations in color, pattern placement, and finish are normal
- Wood grain and fabric patterns may vary from photos
- These variations are part of the handcrafted nature of our products
Pricing and Availability
- All prices are in US Dollars (USD)
- Prices are subject to change without notice
- We reserve the right to limit quantities or refuse orders
- Out-of-stock items will be marked as unavailable
Payment
- We accept payment through Stripe (credit cards, debit cards)
- Payment is processed when you place your order
- You will receive an email confirmation of your order
Shipping
Shipping Policy
- We currently ship to US addresses only
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight
- We use various carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) to provide the most economical shipping option
- Transit times vary by carrier and destination but typically range from 3-7 business days after your item ships
- You will receive tracking information once your order ships
Shipping Delays
We are not responsible for delays caused by:
- Weather conditions
- Carrier delays
- Incorrect shipping addresses provided by customers
- Customs delays (if we expand to international shipping in the future)
Returns and Refunds
Return Eligibility
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery
- Items must be in original condition, unused and undamaged
- Lamps ordered with a fabric or finish choice from a regular listing are returnable under the standard 30-day policy; one-off commissions built to your spec are final sale unless defective
Return Process
- Contact us at help@kapucreations.com within 30 days of receiving your order
- Provide your order number and reason for return
- We will provide return instructions
- Ship the item back to us (customer pays return shipping unless the item is defective or we made an error)
Refunds
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive the returned item
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product
- Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the item is defective
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective:
- Contact us at help@kapucreations.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos
- We will provide a replacement or full refund at no cost to you
- We will cover return shipping for damaged or defective items
Intellectual Property
All content on this site, including product designs, photos, descriptions, and the Kapu Creations name and logo, are the property of Kapu Creations, LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without permission.
Tribute and Fan-Made Items
Some of our products are inspired by or pay tribute to vintage tiki designs, classic tiki establishments, and theme park aesthetics. These are unofficial fan-made items and are not associated with or endorsed by any company or trademark holder.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Kapu Creations, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your order
- We are not responsible for how you use our products
Custom Orders and Special Requests
- Commissions (one-off pieces built to your spec) are final sale and cannot be returned unless defective. Lamps with a fabric or finish choice from a regular listing are not commissions and follow the standard return policy
- We will work with you to ensure you're happy with your custom piece before production begins
- Custom order timelines may vary based on complexity
Communication
By placing an order, you consent to receive:
- Order confirmation emails
- Shipping notifications
- Responses to your customer service inquiries
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
