Before / after

Same store. Different story.

Drag the handle (or use the arrow keys). Left: the kapucreations.com homepage with my custom code and colour settings turned off, so the IndieMade theme shows with its defaults. Right: the same page today.

Why me

Not a big web agency

I'm not a big web agency. I run a small maker shop that added my own IndieMade store alongside Etsy and built kapucreations.com myself. That meant importing the catalog, setting up inventory sync, custom CSS, SEO and tracking.

I've made my own mistakes setting up Kapu's store, and they taught me good habits. I back up before any big change, I know exactly how my sync is set up, and I test before anything goes live. Your store gets those habits from day one.

The person doing the work

Who's behind it

I'm Steve Kryworuka, and I run Kapu Creations. I spent 11 years at Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and WooCommerce, working in most of its divisions.

For about a year I was a developer on Jetpack and Team 51. I did dev work on WooCommerce premium extensions, Subscriptions among them, and I've helped build more sites than I can count.

Kapu's own IndieMade store is the newest one. It's live, it takes real orders, and you're looking at it.

Process

How it works

  1. Quick call. You tell me about your shop and what's bugging you. I tell you which package fits, or if you don't need one.

  2. Fixed quote. You get a price and a scope in writing. A 50% deposit gets you on the calendar.

  3. I do the work. You add me as staff on your store. I never need your owner password.

  4. You review. Two rounds of changes are included.

  5. Launch. The other 50% is due on delivery, and your store is ready to sell.

I take one client at a time, so you get my full attention.
